Where to Eat

Tamarindo has an incredibly diverse selection of restaurants for a town of its size.  Due to the multicultural population, international flavors abound.  One common trait to the best restaurants is that they use fresh natural ingredients.  Below we list some of our favorite restaurants.  However please check with your Casa Bali concierge as there are always new places opening.

Pangas.   Located on the beach at the Tamarindo estuary.  Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, Panga’s chef puts a French spin on fresh local ingredients.  Often the chosen location to celebrate special occasions, the combination of great food and relaxed elegance makes Panga’s one of Tamarindo’s favorite restaurants.

Patagonia.  Argentinian owner Mauro knows meat and has created an authentic Argentinian grill in the heart of Tamarindo.  While all the popular Argentinian cuts of meat are available, Patagonia also features more traditional Argentinian courses such as its mixed grill that includes, steak, chicken, pork, sausage and blood sausage as well as sweet bread.  Patagonia is a delicious example of an ex-pat bringing what they know best to Tamarindo.  It is a popular place so be sure to make reservations.

Bamboo Sushi Club.  The best sushi in town served in an open-air tropical courtyard.  You may want a lighter meal after eating at Patagonia and the Bamboo Sushi Club should be your destination.  BSC serves and eclectic mix of sushi and sashimi.  However, the one constant is the fresh fish they have on offer.  Often a popular location for drinks and an appetizer, it serves some of the best cocktails in town.

Seasons by Shlomy. Seasons by Shlomy offers poolside dinning with a Mediterranean Fusion menu.

The menu consists of fresh, local caught seafood, a variety of vegetarian dishes along with several meat dishes. They also feature daily specials according to the daily catch as well as a “you catch it we cook it” option. Some favorite menu items are the “Sashimi” in which their version incorporates sizzling sesame oil, ginger, and scallions; or try the red snapper filet pan seared with Portobello mushrooms, caramelized onion and balsamic vinegar.
